You guys were allowed to bet on Maryland in the state? FanDuel doesn’t post lines for games in Illinois where I’m at. I can bet on St. Louis who is 20 minutes away but not Loyala-Chicago which is like 4.5 hours away.

Different states different rules.

I know NJ NY VA you cannot bet on any college team that plays in your state

Oregon you can’t bet on college teams period.

Apparently you cannot bet on college teams in Illinois that play in Illinois.

Maryland has no such restrictions.

There was proposed legislation to change that in the last session early this year. Never made it out of committee. Hopefully next year's session. But the tribal casinos are pretty much against any expansion to gambling in the state, and they have an extremely powerful lobby.

This was the 1st game I'd actually been able to watch through at least most of it.  My main takeaway was that Louisville truly looks dreadful, but I don't want to take away from what the Terps are doing either.  The next 4 games will be pretty telling.  I'm not totally buying in to them being a much better than expected team yet, If they can split these 4 then my tune will change.

Saw about a third of the game. I realize Louisville is bad. But regardless of how bad they are, the Terps just looked so much more active all around. Moving the ball on offense, attacking on defense, attacking the boards. They just look like they have some fire and a plan. Both things that often looked lacking during the Turgeon years. Hopefully it's a sign of what's to come long term.  I think Team Turgeon would have won by 10.  :)

I am in the same boat.  I like what they are doing and how they are playing but the conference is really going to challenge them.

To me, it is okay if they struggle, because what I see Willard doing offensively and defensively, will lead to better recruits, and results in the next few years.

Maryland is running an offense and generating results.  On defense, they are applying pressure, rotating in the half court and making the other team work.

Better times are coming IMO.
