Eh, he was in Norfolk in 2014, 2015, and 2016 at age 25, and never managed a 770 OPS as a first baseman. Seemed mediocre. He suddenly got good at age 26 right after he left. You can’t wait forever on guys, sometimes you’ll miss late bloomers. Especially when you have the subpar development that we had at the time.
Not to mention that someone insisted that we resign Chris Davis to a mega contract
