I don't even really think it's boring to complete a pass 8-10 yards down field. It's not a WR screen behind the LoS.Its not so much morphing into a West Coast attack as much as integrating aspects of it. I understand they do want to stretch the field occasionally to keep defenses honest but to me, its just a waste of time with Lamar's inaccuracy. Just concentrate on higher percentage passes and keep the chains moving. Its not sexy but that's who the Ravens are.
I also realize that Lamar's deep completion rate is a bit off base because he had a beautiful ball to Desean negated by that ineligible man downfield penalty. But that also skews the deep ball rate too. 6 out of 23? That's over 25% of his attempts!
