I'd keep him around for 2023. If some of the OFers down on the farm just keep pushing then you have trade pieces this summer. Of course if somebody offered a great return this winter fine but I don't think we'd get an offer good enough for me to trade him just yet.

He's pretty much the only guy on the team who hit well against LHP last year.  Hopefully he's OK with DH'ing a lot more in 2023.

I think this will be interesting to see if they do this.  I suspected he'd be dealt last offseason or during the season (given other issues and the depth of OFers) but they held onto him.  We also heard something about his role in the clubhouse along with Ced.

 

He's ARB2 this year so the Orioles have another year of control in 2024 (I feel like that's worded poorly or incorrectly in the article) so you aren't in a specific rush and if you wanted to move him later, you could wait.

 

...I'm not sure there's a better value bat available to the Orioles through trade or FA....so if you trade him you are likely taking on some drop in performance expectations.  We'll see.
