Boo.

No Henderson or Rutschman or Mullins or Mountcastle.  They're saying the season is over.  A great season it was but I'd like to see one more fun game with good players in the lineup.

I guess we are trying to give every one a chance to play today.

That is cool.

I had forgotten Nevin was active.

Aguilar gets a hit and the Orioles will go another year without getting no hit.  They gave it a hell of a try a few times.

Aguilar and Stowers back to back doubles tie it up.

We may have just watched Odor’s last AB as an Oriole (strike out of course)

So yea, that’s enough to make this day a good one.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I guess I am in the minority, but Odor IMO while not good, has not been as bad as some of you have made him out to be.  JMO.

That said, I don’t want him back.

Negative WAR according to BB-ref (-0.4). +0.4 according to FanGraphs.

33 players have had 400+ PA in a season for the O's since 2017. Odor's hitting this year (80 wRC+) was the 6th-worst among that group, 3rd worst by OPS. So he's in the 80th or 90th percentile of suck even amongst the group of hitters that were bad enough to play here over the past 5 years (though good enough to get 400 PA, so not the absolute worst guys). Mateo was the 7th-worst by wRC+, so imagine a player who hits worse than Mateo while being a bad defensive 2B and also a terrible baserunner.

I'm glad he's been a nice presence in the clubhouse. I think that means something. But I also think he's earned all the scorn for his performance.

He has provided some good moments throughout the year.  I know the numbers are bad and like I said, I don't want him back, but some have made him public enemy number one throughout the year and I don't see it.  Frankly, he has been exactly what I thought we were going to get.

Season over.  Full 162 and feels like the Lockout was 2 years ago.

83-79.  Could have made a lot of money taking a bet over .500 for the season.  This Team wasn't designed to compete like that, but they did anyway.

Lots of interesting moments.

Adley (probably gets a full year of Service) looks like a stud.

Gunnar too.

Lots of interesting pitching performances.

Fun season. Expected a young inexperienced team to struggle in September and they did. Still have lots of reasons for hope moving forward. Hoping for an interesting off-season for once too.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Awesome year - fell in love with the O’s and baseball again after a tough pandemic and years of intentionally being as awful as humanly imaginable. Very grateful for the guys on the field and the coaches who ignored the intentions and prognostications and gave it an honest effort this season. Was as fun as I’ve ever had as an O’s fan.
