Some odd managerial decisions to me. None of them major but several combined that seemed to mess things up. Bullpen use starting with bringing in Krehpuke then Reed in the 9th and the odd double switch. None of which directly lost the game but just odd stuff to me.

 

Not to mention I would have pinch hit for Mateo and not waited for Chirinos. If that didn't work then I would have also pinch hit for Chirinos. Had both Henderson and Stowers to use there. And could have saved doing the double switch.

I don't think Hyde is going anywhere, nor should he. Is he perfect, of course not. However, this team has responded well inser his leadership. Despite the rough loss, they have a shot at winning the series today.

Hes not going anywhere to start '23. Thats for sure. Nor is his seat even warm. Though that can change pretty quickly for anyone.

There is a pattern developing in the game threads,  We lose it is Hyde’s fault.  Joey K has been pretty good this year, he did not have it yesterday,  Using him there made sense, at least to me.  It did not work.  

My only thing I would have liked to see different.  I would have left Tate in, to get through the 8th.

There is a pattern developing in the game threads,  We lose it is Hyde’s fault.  Joey K has been pretty good this year, he did not have it yesterday,  Using him there made sense, at least to me.  It did not work.

But see that's the point. Seems like every game we lose there are multiple odd decisions. None individually that you say OMG what was that. But several that seem to add up to what's he thinking. 

 

And of course its natural when you lose to point at the manager...comes with the territory.

 

And I too would have left Tate in longer. I told my wife when he got pulled that I didn't like it as it was going to leave too  many outs for Felix to get.
