I feel like these two teams are a fairly even matchup. I give the Ravens a slight edge because they are home. Obviously at -3 1/2, Vegas feels they are even as well. I felt before the season that both will be playoff contenders, along with about 8-10 other AFC teams. I give the Ravens a chance at winning their division. Only reason I don't feel the same about Miami is because they play in the division with Buffalo.
Miami has weapons and has speed. I don't think they will 100% copy last years defensive game plan, but why wouldn't they mostly copy it? The Ravens haven't shown they can consistently handle that kind of pressure. Their Oline didn't look all that good to me last week. They only had 63 yards rushing. Has that ever happened in the Lamar Jackson era? If I were the Miami DC, I throw some new designs in there but ultimately I'm bringing max pressure most of the game until the Ravens show they can pick it up and beat it.
For the Ravens they need to get the running game going. Drake had 31 yards total, Lamar only 17 last week. That's not going to work. Drake looked too hesitant, but there wasn't a lot of room for him to run either. They hit some big plays in the pass department in the 2nd half, but I don't think they are built to win through the air in the long haul.
I would pick the Ravens today, but I wouldn't bet it. Miami has been awful playing in Baltimore, and the crowd noise will force some mistakes from the Miami offense. I like the Ravens by 3.
