That was said tounge in cheek.

But I think your post makes a lot of sense. I think a lot of moves made on the offensive side, were to address that one specific embarrassment of a game. Bateman, Duvernay, Robinson and Likely are all good after the catch.

As someone pointed out, Miami has a whole new coaching staff. But they'd be doing themselves a disservice if they didn't line up in that formation a few times, just to test the waters.

I believe they have the same DC though. And they blitzed a bunch and ran the same simulated pressures last week against the Patriots and ate up Mac Jones and that line once NE got behind.

I think it's pretty safe to say they'll see a lot of those same looks, though we'll see if it's as excessive as last season.

Brandon Stephens not practicing today due to groin injury. That's scary with Fuller out for the season and Peters not confirmed back yet (though practicing fully).

It's incredible how they go through this at some point every season at CB regardless of how much depth they start with. Peters being back would be huge, and I'd imagine there's a good chance that happens this week anyway, but the rookies probably need to step up regardless.

JKD. Travis Jones and Peters were full participants.

Marlon was limited and Stephens were out.

Proche, Stanley were also out.

Nick Boyle was given a veteran rest day.

I am beginning to be optimistic that Dobbins plays.

I’m starting to be hopeful on him and maybe Peters. Not Stanley though.

I think Dobbins is active. But I'll be shocked if he he's more than 10 touches.

The Bank: Previewing Week 2 vs Miami

Good points about YAC when it comes to Dolphins receivers last week. YAC killed the Ravens defense a ton last year. Tyreek Hill can always turn nothing into something. But last year YAC was not a characteristic of Waddle. Will be disappointed if they let both run wild.

Don’t forget the Ravens bracketed Hill and all but eliminated him in last years KC matchup. So they have an answer there, if there is one thing to bring back from Martindale’s tenure.

I think the Ravens win, and cover, even with the hook. Something like 27-17.

I have the same score.  We can’t both be wrong can we? :-P

I'm not terribly worried about the blitz. Our OL looks a bit better and we have more and healthier weapons. I remain convinced that it worked against the Ravens last year because injuries screwed up what they could do.

Rappaport says JKD is pushing to play but that it isn’t likely he does this week. Also says that Marlon will play despite not being 100% with the groin.

He was all smiles the other day. Seemed like he knew he was going to play. Just weird how the Ravens are slowplaying some of this stuff. There are only 17 games. You need to win 10, maybe 11 to get into the playoffs.

Does feel like an over adjustment. Injuries will happen in football whether they play it extra careful or not.

Dobbins told the ESPN sideline reporter last week he was ready to go for 100 yards.
If the team believes he is healthy, I'd like to see him active today, even if the touches are limited.

If the team feels he needs a little further recovery time, then I'm good with them overruling Dobbins desire to play.

The Ravens spent months reviewing the type of defensive game plan that the Dolphins used to great success against them last November. Today, we'll find out if they are better for it:

Good news for Ravens pass defense ... Ravens CB Marcus Peters (knee) is active and will play in his first game since January 2021. CB Marlon Humphrey (groin) is also active after missing Friday's practice and being listed as questionable.

No Stephens or Fuller (obv), and Peters first game back while Marlon is hampered by a groin. Could be a long day with the pass defense.
