Ugh, just thinking about that makes me want to throw up. New coaching staff, maybe they didn't watch the game last year?

All the coaches on both sides are definitely analyzing last years tape. 

 

73.9% chance to win seems very very generous. The Dolphins are 9-1  in their last 10 games. The 2nd of which was the Ravens last year and Tua's return from injury. 

 

I've been beating the drum for a few years, Tua is not to be taken lightly. It just took a little longer to be true. Injuries certainly a factor there.

Agree that 74% seems high.  I think the Ravens win but my confidence level is lower than that.  Seeing if Stanley, Peters, and Dobbins can return would help, but there will be concerns about each guy's effectiveness even if they are active.

This has the potential to be the game of the week. The Dolphins looked excellent last week and clearly have some intel on the Ravens given how well they were able to shut them down a year ago. That being said, Ravens still have the much stronger overall roster. Could make for some fireworks.

I don't know that I'd agree with saying the Ravens have a MUCH stronger overall roster. Dolphins have a really good team. I would say they're more close to even on paper than one being way better than the other.

To me this is a 50/50 game. Our defense looked good, but we also weren't trying to cover Hill and Waddle. And if we allow Mostert to get the edge on us like we did Carter a few times, well, we've already seen what he can do to the Ravens when that happens.

I am guessing the Ravens will be working this week on defeating the blitz, which maybe means the Dolphins are going to try something else.

I think it will be a close game because I think Miami may be good, but I think the Ravens win and cover.

If so, maybe we see a breakout game from Likely with his run after catch ability. Get the ball out quick to him and let him make a play. Create some of those opportunities for Bateman as well.

They tried to do that repeatedly with Hollywood last time, and he couldn't break any tackles by the Miami DBs. I think Likely, Bateman and even Duvernay should fare better in that scenario this time.

Getting the running game going would go a long way too, so hopefully they've got more juice this week. Drake started looking better in the 2nd half, and I think we'll see Lamar more involved early this week. I hope.

But I think your post makes a lot of sense. I think a lot of moves made on the offensive side, were to address that one specific embarrassment of a game. Bateman, Duvernay, Robinson and Likely are all good after the catch.

As someone pointed out, Miami has a whole new coaching staff. But they'd be doing themselves a disservice if they didn't line up in that formation a few times, just to test the waters.
