The Orioles need to get 2 of 3 this series.  Sears is not bad, but neither is Kremer.  Let's get off to a good start and win today.

Let's hope.  The A's have beaten Houston and the Yankees lately,so it will not be easy.

They swept Houston at the end of July in Oakland, and they took two of three against a free-falling Yankee team (again, in Oakland), but the A's are a bad baseball team.

At this point, the O's need to be thinking sweep. The 2 of 3 thinking should be reserved for the Blue Jays and Red Sox series later this home stand.

Did Stowers run over Hyde's dog?

Gunnar the only lefty vs the lefty starter. Pleasantly surprised Hyde put him in the lineup.

I would prefer to let the Stud play the position he is most comfortable with.  I would have put Gunnar at third and Urias at 2nd.

Mullins would be playing everyday if it were me.  It is time to go.

Nit Picking though.  I like the heavy lineup.  Hyde is MOY.

I like the Adley day off.  He looks a little tired and he is struggling.  Besides that I have tickets for Saturday, and I am hoping to see Gunnar and Adley.  Thanks Brandon!

Mullins Mckenna is a straight platoon. Very interesting if thats the plan going into '23. Btw Mullins has struggled against lefties but I think this says more about what they think of McKenna.

Dont get it.

Third position that Gunnar will have played in his first few games.

Stowers is a waste of a roster space. Send him down or play him. One of the other.

They are overthinking this.

Gunnar 3rd.

Stowers RF.

Santander DH.

Urias / Vavra 2nd.

In-general, not saying needs to be tonight vs. Sears.

But then where would Odor play Stoner!?!?!

Kidding of course but obviously Hyde values him more than the rest of us.

Mullins is 27 years old. Yeah, he's scuffled against LHP this year. He dropped hitting from the RH at the start of '21, and he hit .277/.337/.451 v LHP. Couple that with his .299/.372/.558 mashing against RHP, that's good enough to be an everyday player.

This looks like one of the worst lineups the O's have put out this year. Even with Gunnar in it.

You want to platoon Mullins and McKenna, McKenna shouldn't be batting leadoff.

You aren't taking advantage of Gunnar's arm if you play him at 2B. Mateo's been playing great SS though. But Gunnar and Urias should swap, and Henderson play SS when Mateo sits.

Yep, Mullins should play 90-95 % of the games.

Agreed.  Except, I think the Orioles suffer on turning theDP especially with Vavra.

Bottom line, its time to make the final push.  Play the best you got and to me that Means Mullins in CF, Santander at DH and Stowers in RF.

Tonight is a heavy RH.  I have not checked Sears, but maybe he a true splits pitcher.

This is so much better than the years when you couldn’t care less what the lineup card said every day.

I don’t get it either for the record, but I’m sure they have well thought out reasons for it all, which is a lot more than could be said in the past.
