Gunnar might be the new Machado.

Holy crap.

This is the most fun I've had with this team since the year of the great "Flaherty/Schoop" debates

Nice recovery from that two game L streak.

Rutschman, Henderson, Stowers, Mullins, Mateo, Hays, Santander..... plenty of good young talent on this team.

Adley, Stowers, Bradish, Gunnar… all with real nice, contributory moments the past week in a playoff run. Gotta love it. The future is ridiculously bright.

As you can attest, I have never been optimistic about the Orioles. Even in the 2011-2016 years, I didn't see it as sustainable, and it wasn't.

This is sustainable. This is how healthy organizations should look.

Good win.  Getting some help elsewhere.  Put together a run.

What a fun win. Number 1 prospect debuts, hits a HR and La Montana closes it out. All in a postseason hunt.

I love this.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I agree. You've never been optimistic about the Orioles.

No, seriously, it does seem like we're seeing a team built to compete year in and year out and, what I don't think we've seen yet is the pay off from increased investment in international scouting/signings.

Yep. That is the next step. With that said, they have *so* much talent still in the minors. Norby looks great. Cowser looking good. So much depth. This isn't because they're just getting lucky. They're developing these guys. This is what I've been waiting for.

I am, for the first time maybe ever, convinced they're doing that.

Ugh the delay on MASN app sucks but I am watching game on my deck. So there’s that.

MASN app continues to be horrific.

MASN app continues to be horrific.

I was watching it from about the 5th inning on last night and it was about a minute behind but otherwise okay.

There was a cool moment after the game last night.  After the final out was recorded the Orioles were celebrating at the pitchers mound and one of the umps, took the time to come up and shake Gunnar's hand to congratulate him.  I noticed a similiar thing when Adley made his debut.  The home plate ump shook his hand before the first pitch.  A touch of class.
