Let's play the Jays more often!

25% of the games left.

This felt like a must win to keep the momentum going. We haven't loss three in a row in awhile.

Interesting how McKenna is taking these ABs away from Ced vs lefties. But its legit because McKenna is legit.

McKenna only has 274 major league at-bats, which isn't a big enough sample size to conclude whether or not he's a legitimate big-league hitter. But he's a plus defender at all three OF positions, and since the beginning of July he's slashing .326/.353/.543 in 51 plate appearances.

I think I saw that he was hitting like .700 against lefties over some period of time. Let's hope he and Mateo can keep up this resurgence the rest of the season. Vavra has been a sparkplug as well.

McKenna is the type of player good teams need.  He is not the type of player who should be getting 600 AB's but he certainly is an option against left-handed pitchers, and his defense and speed are very good.

He has developed nicely this year.

McKenna and Hays have the same fWAR, 1.3. That's pretty great for only 130 PAs for McKenna, Fangraphs hates Hays' defense and loves McKenna's I guess.

bWAR it's Hays 2.0 to 0.7, that seems more correct to me, even though Hays has been slumping for like 2 months.

I am not sure how Hays defense can be hated, but Hays has been in a long slump.  I think the numerous hand issues, due to being drilled has played a large part.

Says more about Hays of late. I questioned how good of a reg he was to start the year. He made me eat my words for awhile. Now not so much

Love Hays, but he needs to finish strong. Know he has dealt with nagging injuries (both wrists, etc)... but he has to finish strong, or he might be left behind.

Mountcastle had 5 at bats last night. A total true outcome guy. 2 strikeouts, 2 walks, and a HR.

I like him as well, but hasn't he had a history of nagging injuries? If a few days off would help him, I'm all for it since McKenna seems to have found his way.
