Not a fan of running into outs on the bases down multiple runs. I guess it fits the O's small ball approach though.

I hate umpires. Just the worst part of the game by a wide margin.

After being competitive in almost every game for so long, they were due for a day like this. Get it out of your system and move on. Happens to the best of teams.

I liked Dave Trembley a lot and wish he'd gotten a chance with a good team. Lot of similarities to Hyde, IMO, at least viewed from my position afar. Development background. Good communicator. Both have strong ties to Joe Maddon.

Man, haven't thought about Trembley in years. There's like this black hole in my memory bank with the Orioles over the past 20 years.

Mateo brings some tools to the team that they need, namely speed but he just doesn't get on base enough and is a strikeout machine. Its a shame he doesn't utilize his speed more often offensively.
