The Orioles come all the way back again.
Santander with a clutch 2 strike hit to tie it.

I really do not understand why we are taking Akin out. He was really settling in.

Chirinos has 3 hits... avg up to .167.
And a stolen base. A 5 tool guy.

How much longer do they allow Bradish up here to get beaten around?
I doubt its going to go on much longer, if at all. He's just overmatched at this level. The kid has good stuff. He just needs to learn how to pitch.

He's 25, will he 26 before the end of the season.... not sure how much more time you want to have him hanging around in AAA to develop even with the limited innings he's had in the minors so far.

Mancini just hammers one but Mount Baltimore gets him.
He is very frustrated.

Blame Tate. He got to 2 strikes on 3 straight batters and did not get one of them.

Man Trey has a weeeeeeak arm.
No reason for him to be playing the outfield. He’s cost the team multiple times today.

Yeah, really no reason for him to ever be in the OF when you've got Hays, McKenna, Santander, Mullins all on the roster.

Time to send Bradish back down too. He doesn’t have it.
Unless you think he's got some sort of mental block or loss of confidence like Kremer or Akin or Mullins have gone through in recent years, what's the point of a demotion? He doesn't really have much left to do at AAA. He didn't dominate but he did well. Its time to see if he can make the adjustments up here, IMO. I'd only send him down if I thought he just needed a break.
I'd be much more likely to consider bullpen than Norfolk, but in either case it'd be about building confidence. I don't think there is anyone else who would really do significantly better. Do we really wanna see more Spencer Watkins? Matt Harvey?

That is something the Orioles should have considered over the offseason. That all the SPs they'd call up this year wouldn't perform and succeed.
Bradish can perhaps stay here and make adjustments but I also don't think it's doing wonders for his confidence to have an ERA approaching 8 and taking the team out of then game early.

If a demotion is intended for the individual development of Bradish (physical or mental) then I'm on board. I don't think the team needs to put too much emphasis on his performance being detrimental to winning. I agree we should've done that in the off-season. But that ship has sailed. I don't see anyone coming up who will outperform Bradish in a meaningful way, even if he limps along with a 6 1/2 ERA.That is something the Orioles should have considered over the offseason.
