Have a day Ryan Mountcastle
3 real good plays in the field to go with 2 monster shots.

Sending your closer and best reliever to the mound in a walk-off situation in Toronto? What a concept!

Not having Akin and Santander hurts in this game.

When are they changing the stupid extra inning rule? You know, the one with the runner on second? I feel like I'm getting ripped off.
I thought they voted it out this’d year, but they changed their minds, I guess.

I'm curious if the home team wins with greater frequency under this rule than when you come up with the bases empty. Seems like that would give them even more of an edge.

Why pitch to Vladito there with first base open?
I told my son the same thing. Make someone else beat you.

I don't know the analytics, but it would seem like the home team has an even greater chance of winning in this scenario.Especially when the visitor does not score in their half of the inning.

It changes depending on the run scoring environment. And the home team has the advantage of course because when they are up they know exactly how many runs they need. But generally with no outs nobody on expected runs is around 0.5 runs, and with no outs man on second expected runs is around 1.1 runs. So you expect to score twice as many runs now as opposed to the old rules.
I don't know how this translates to "chance of scoring one run," say if the visitor didn't score, but clearly the chance is higher now than the old way.

So the moral of the story for Adley is that I must go fishing and be gone all day so that I can't predict him to hit a HR. As soon as I do that he hits one.
So I guess I need to fish even more.
