Something I've noticed about Adley.... he goes out to meet his pitcher at the end of every inning to congratulate them. I hadn't noticed that with our past catchers.

I like McKenna. No thoughts of him being anything significant but he is a solid ballplayer

Know some disagree, but he's a pretty ideal 4th OF imo.

McKenna's problem is that he's stuck on a team at a position where all of their good players are OF/DH types. McKenna could be a good contributor if he could have been an infielder.

Did you expect anything else with this snakebit organization?

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Man, Rutschman is really struggling.

He just needs time...I'm not worried about him at all.  he had some good ABs today and hit the ball hard into the shift twice.

Man, Rutschman is really struggling.

Last week, I thought he was close, but this past week, he was really getting himself out.  He badly needs something good to happen. He does not seem to be able to layoff the pitch inside below his hands.

He is not showing frustration though.  It will come.

Torkelson has a 601 OPS thru 175 PA.  Its annoying that Rutschman has started similarly slowly, but far from concerning, IMO.  Some guys hit the ground raking, other guys take a while to get going.  I don't think there is a consistent way to predict who will do what, so you just throw them out there and see.

Mike Trout had an 89 OPS+ .672 OPS in his first 40 games. I know, he was 19 when he came up, but if he can struggle...

He had a 168 OPS+ the next year.

Christian Yelich has a 436 OPS since May 21 when Rutschman debuted.  Yasmani Grandal is pitcher-bad at 335.  So bad fortnights happen even to MVPs and studs, yet alone rookies making their debut.
