Zimmermann has allowed 9 HRs over his last 2 starts..... he must be using the juiced ball.

Zimm is going to have to show he can bounce back. Think he will be ok but we know he's not special

Good for Sedlock. I didn't think he'd ever get here. If he can stay for more than a cup of coffee he'll really prove me wrong.

Duquette did well by drafting Grayson and DL, but man Stewart and Sedlock were rough.

Me too, good for him. Just like with Hunter Harvey, can't imagine the frustration of having the talent to be a 1st round pick but getting hurt just about every year.

Their careers are just par for the course for late 20s draft picks.

Sedlock has more bWAR (at 0) than 8 people drafted ahead of him in 2016. Stewart is tied for 20th most successful 25th pick ever by bWAR.

Looking at thr 2016 draft, not many big names popping out.... and we did snag Hays and Akin.

Late 1st rounders do nothing more often than something. Barely a third of picks in the 20s ever accrue a single WAR.

Ill usually never miss an opportunity to bash DDDD but his 1st rd draft picks here go down as a big win overall. Other than Gausman he never picked in the Top 10 and you now have 4 of 9 guys either being productive big league players or top of the line prospects(Gaus, Mountcastle, Hall, GRod).

Maybe its time for all the parks to push their walls back 30ft.

At least they've mostly been solo.

When you give up 5 HRs in a short start its hard not for them to be mostly solo shots. His WHIP on just HRs was 1.25. YIKES!!

Good for Sedlock.

Was going to say this last night too.  Wouldn't have had him above Harvey, but at this point if he can be a useful bullpen arm, great.

You mean Hunter as far as keeping on the 40 man? I agree and wouldn't have either, but I imagine they thought he'd get through. He made it to the Giants so they were almost right if that was the thought.

Funny, I just looked up Hunter Harvey. Again on the DL with an arm issue. Has thrown 4.2 innings all year between AAA and ML. Thats why he was put on waivers. Now, it wouldnt shock me if he pulls a Cole Sulser. Is able to stay healthy for awhile in his late 20s into his 30s and is productive. You cant hold a 40 man roster spot for a decent BP arm you hope can stay healthy.

I meant more generically in terms of expectations and future performance.  If we were lining up the 1st round picks from 2012-2018, Sedlock would have been at the bottom of that group.

Trey very slow
