I never want to see Urias play SS again just based on that relay throw. What a horrible arm.

Urias seems to be wiping out the good will built up from last year.

We really have a AAA infield with Odor, Owings and Urias.  I am hoping Bannon runs with his chance.

Potential long term options in the minors between Vavra, Prieto, Norby, Westburg, Ortiz, and Henderson but obviously they all wont work out and I think some of them likely are moved in deals to acquire ML talent. They have to play the FA and or trade market this offseason for 2b, SS, and 3b.

Something named Jose Trevino takes us deep. If he was wearing a Mariners jersey no chance that happens

McKenna makes a terrific grab that may have prevented Bradish's line from being really bad. Stuff is good. Looks like a big leaguer. I think the question is will he be able to remain a SP or have to go to RP.

Btw unfortunately this game is already over at 4-0. Severino is dealing. The Os are inept from 4-9 in the lineup.

Needs a better third pitch. Disappointing outing tonight. But no biggie.

Changeup has potential but seems to struggle to command it.

Offense is just dead in the water without Hays and Mountcastle, and really without all the actual contributors healthy.

Getting one hit through 6.

They finally get a second hit in this game, and it gets canceled out by a double play the next batter.

Real nice job by Akin tonight.

He has been one of the bright spots.  He has been consistently good.  Baseball is a strange game.  Guys struggle in one role and excel in another.

When you can count on Akin to come in and eat nearly 4 innings of scoreless relief against this lineup, that’s big. Threw 57 pitches and no runs, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 I’d in 3.2 IP. ERA down to 1.46 now in the year.

Obviously numerous things to like about Bautista but he does get barreled up at a decent rate when opponents make contact. Something to keep in mind foing forward as the days get warmer

Yeah the changeup has shown flashes, hope he can keep refining it. I feel like he used his curveball more and was effective with it last year so I wonder what’s going on there. But the fastball/slider alone is bare minimum high leverage relief stuff.

Made it seem like tonight he likes tunnelling the slider with the fastball. McDonald noted how the curve can be tipped easily if it has too much loop in it. Change seems to have good fade and I think its the key to remaining in a ML rotation. Overall yeah, we agree the fastball/slider should play as a high leverage RP at worst.
