Austin Hays says he’s hoping to get back to more baseball activities tomorrow. Swelling is down and he threw yesterday without wearing a fielding glove on that hand.

Jorge Mateo is: - 3rd among all Major League players in Average Sprint Speed - T-2nd among MLB shortstops in Defensive Runs Saved - T-3rd among all @Orioles in@fangraphs WAR - Currently on a 9-game hit streak What a jolt of energy he's been.

Jorge Mateo has a chest and shoulder contusion after his collision with Spencer Torkelson, Brandon Hyde said. Day-to-day. X-rays negative

Seems clear Hall is going to come up and be used as a piggyback starter.
He went 3.2 ip today, allowed 2 hits, 2 er, 2 bb's, 7 k's.

Watkins started on the 11th,  Rodriguez started on the 12th.

Rodriguez has made 7 starts, and thrown 32 ip.  In those 32 ip, he's allowed 22 hits, and has 46 k's.

Bring Hall up to team with Wells.
Bring up Rodriguez to replace Watkins in the rotation.  Watkins is scheduled to start Tuesday, so maybe after that.

Hall will likely be a RP IMO. Longterm. Best case scenario hes Blake Snell who has only thrown over 130 innings once in his career. He has averaged 5 innings per start over his 136 ML starts. I think Id rather have Josh Hader than Blake Snell. Granted Snell was great in '18 and has been solid otherwise but Ill take a dominant LH RP who should be able to throw 75-90 innings in relief.

Friday. Weekend event.

Wno knows anymore. Should be tonight. I bought tickets for tonight just in case. Looks like it’ll just be to see Bradish pitch.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

You'll hear about it at least a day in advance. Probably a few days in advance. Seeing Bradish on the bump is a nice consolation. Assuming they get it in.

I don't think his ascension should be tied to the box office.  If they are going to bring him up Friday, then he's ready today.
You might get swept by NY with him, but he'd give some type of boost to a limited lineup.

That said, I don't think you (2035) are wrong in your thinking.

In theory I agree with you. That said, its an event and not just for Os fans. For hardcore baseball fans as well. Thats why Im convinced we will know a day or two in advance. Im sure MLB wants the Os to get the word out early.

It's ambitious but I think the O's can go 10-5 in this stretch and get to 24-26.

I think if you were setting a line, the over / under would be 5 wins. Anything above that, I'd be pleasantly surprised.

Who the hell scheduled these guys?  No wonder we lose 100 games every year.  :-P

The good news is that after the next 2 series against the Yankees, we will only play them 7 games the rest of the year.

5 game series are a thing now? Huh.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them limited to 3-4 wins during this stretch, which would put them around 17-33, a .340 win percentage, which comes out to a 55-107 record.

So we could be looking more like the team we expected very shortly.

There's some weird stuff like this scheduled doubleheader and also a 1 game series at Boston in August due to making up the games that were canceled at the start of the year.
