It’s been a month man. The wall will help us more than it will hurt us. Your fascination with this is astounding.

I have no fascination with it.  Personally, I think it's irrelevant.  Everything I've said about it is true. Others have been annoyed by my comments.

...but I am curious about your comment.  You used the word "help" us more than hurt us.  What does that mean?

I bring up impacts of the Wall, because people have suggested it's some plan to do [something].  If you don't track the consequences in real time, it's kind of hard to go back at the end of the year and discuss what did or didn't happen.  The field is the same for both teams.  Nobody has yet explained why it is/was important.

We can track the consequences it has.

Santander lost a HR today.

Another single may have been an out? (nobody responded earlier)

I like the idea of tracking all the plays where we think there was a different outcome than had the dimensions been different.

But park effects over a matter of years will be the best way I'm aware of to determine the overall impact, and that is still pretty noisy since the denominator isn't consistent and there are lots of other influences.

 I one-million percent agree.

...but we used to have all of these argument about Jones' defense too.  People look at something and make grand or ridiculous claims and when you put the effort into validating all of the absurd 'hot-takes', nobody wants to put the work in.

Being more HR-neutral isn't causal to anything.

Can that be the last pitch he ever throws for us?

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

...I daresay that he implied that Lyles needed to "eat some innings."

Damnation...
