So while perusing this list, two things stood out for me.

#1 Going purely by numbers, Kyle Boller wasn't the worst quarterback ever. Some of these guys have horrendous stats and make Boller look like an All Pro.

#2 Whoever was running the Chiefs in 1983 and drafted Todd Blackledge over Marino and Jim Kelly should suffer a mysterious accident leading to his untimely demise

If you're going by full-time starter guidelines, or 10 game minimums or some other qualifier, Boller was the worst QB in team history.

The list of full-time starters would be:

Testaverde

Zeier

Harbaugh

Banks

Dilfer

Grbac

Boller

Blake

Wright

McNair

Flacco

Lamar

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Oh team history I agree with. 100% but that wasn't what my comment was about.

For the money it cost, Grbac was the worst.

I'm not sure Boller was worse than Zeier or Harbaugh (who was near the end of the line when he was in Baltimore).

Akili Smith at #3 was one of the worst draft busts of the last 25 years for the Bengals. I hear they did a lot better with the guy they drafted a couple of years ago.

His time here was very short and very limited (thankfully) but I'd vote Scott Mitchell as the worst performer to ever get under center for the Ravens. :) Fortunately I think he only lasted 2 or 3 games.

I'd have to go with Bob Avellini over Mike Tomczak for worst QB in Chicago. His 69 interceptions vs. just 33 touchdowns makes you wonder how in the hell he lasted nine seasons. He didn't start every game for the Bears over that span (lucky for them) but if numbers alone tell the story, he didn't wow anyone in the games he did start.

What the article fails to mention is that not only was Mike Phipps largely abysmal for the Browns, but they traded a future Hall-of-Famer in Paul Warfield in order to draft him. Ouch!

Don't agree with Joe Kapp being the worst QB in Minnesota's history. Injun Joe will never rank up there with the all-time greats, but he did lead the Vikings to two playoff appearances, including the NFL championship in 1969. He also shares the record for most TD passes in one game (seven) which he accomplished against the Colts in 1969. He threw some strange looking ducks, but he wasn't all bad.
