Credit to Maryland for fighting in this game, but being unable to finish has been a consistent theme.

They’ll travel to Lincoln on Friday night to face Nebraska, one of the few teams in the conference worse than them.

A strong effort and a very predictable ending.

Obviously the effort wasn't great against Iowa lol but they've really battled for a team that had its coach basically quit on them four weeks into the season

Every team plays hard most games.  That's not an accomplishment.

Manning said during the postgame that he felt Scott was fouled on the final play. He just tweeted out still images that make that feeling pretty clear.

Props to Manning for sticking up for his guys. Turgeon could learn something. Wish Danny well in whatever is next for him. What an unfortunate mess for him.

Those at-the-buzzer plays are like pass interference on a hail Mary, it usually takes something egregious to draw a whistle. Much like his predecessor, I think that was a poorly designed in-bounds play for that situation by Manning. Donta Scott trying to take it right at Williams, when you know the officials are going to hold back on making a call, reeks of Turgeon.

Sure but I didn't think they were going to lose by 1 against a top 5 team with one of the best home court advantages in the country with their senior SG missing the game with an injury. That seems like an accomplishment that can't just be explained by being as talented as Purdue.

The one thing that was clear, was Purdue took Maryland lightly. That's what opens the door to results like this.

It's been the exact same thing for years and years and years now. Any time the Terps are in a late game critical possession, or have the last shot in their hands, you NEVER, EVER, EVER see a decent set play resulting in an open look. If they're going the length of the court, it's always dribbling solo with no movement around the ball, then throw up a 25-30 foot prayer. If it starts across half court, it usually sees one guy touch the ball and then dribble in to traffic resulting on a turnover or well-contested missed shot.

It's freaky to me how consistently this program fails in the same exact fashion...

I watched the game on DVR Today.  Real good effort.  That should be a given, but the impressive thing to me was the way undermanned Maryland played against a real good team.

Russell was damn good.

The last play, left a lot to be desired.
