Duke just became bowl eligible, one season after going 3-9 (winless in the ACC) and having the worst defense in college football.
UConn is now one win away from bowl eligibility, a season after going 1-11, still drowning in Edsall Stink, and replacing him with a seemingly odd choice in Jim Mora Jr.

9 months ago Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M were celebrating the signing of what 24-7 said was the best freshman signing class ever. After losing to Florida today, they will be lucky just to get in a bowl game (3-6).

Have the oil tycoons started opening their wallets yet?

If they do, it would just be further proof you don't need to be smart to be a billionaire.

The scariest part is that he’s doing all this with a walk-on QB. Imagine if he got his hands on an NFL-caliber guy back there. Game over.
Ole Kirby’s gonna repeat, isn’t he?

Liberty might be for real. They're up 21-3 at Arkansas at the half.

Hugh Freeze to Auburn looking more and more likely.

Too bad there are no trophies for Buyout Champions, because Auburn would be the hands down favorite. Freeze just signed a big extension at Liberty, for which I'm sure the buyout won't be cheap. Add to that what they owe Harsin and Malzahn (still) and the Tigers are a clear #1 in the polls. Though if A&M's billionaire boosters get itchy checkbooks, all bets are off.

ACC definitely going to and should be shut out.
Is this the year we get two Big Ten teams and two SEC teams in the playoff? I know Oregon, USC, and TCU are hanging out there but the ACC is gonna get shut out this year.

Setting up for a photo finish.
This Alabama @ LSU game ended up being the treat of the day. Coming down to the wire. Insane crowd as expected.

Clemson really wasn’t even competitive tonight in South Bend. Just crazy to have them #4th on the CFP.
The committee needs to be called out for that. Everyone shook their head over that one. It was pretty obvious they are not elite. Much as it pains me that I had to root for ND, I'm glad we got this result tonight. Makes it more likely we end up with the 4 best teams.

As an Oregonian, I can say that no one here is sad Mario Cristobal went to Miami.
