It’s an indictment on the QB for locking on. If you can’t see physicality in Batemans game I don’t know what you’re watching. Proche might have the best hands on the team. Brown has been misused since the Miami game.

I agree especially the part about Brown.  Somehow he became a possession receiver.  I think in large part because Huntley was a 1 or 2 read guy at most.

This board blew up yesterday at Hollywood Brown over a big drop. All 5’ 9” of him. IMO the Ravens need a big, physical wide receiver to take the load off of Andrews. I mean, Andrews is good, but when your TE is getting that many looks, it’s an indictment of your receiver corps.

In a perfect world, yes. But in a salary cap world, you have to stand pat with your current offensive skill positions.

Also, I disagree with Andrews target share being any indictment of the WR's. For one, most of the time, Andrews was wide open. They did force it to him at times. But that's what QB's do under duress. They look to their security blanket. Burrow basically admitted to doing it with Chase. Rodgers does it with Adams. Mahomes is the same way with Kelce.

I think its fair to say Andrews target share has more to do with the fact that he may just be the best receiving TE in football right now. He got open against man or zone. He caught damn near everything thrown his way. He makes plays after the catch. He played at an elite level all season.

Andrews obviously doesnt have great speed or agility like a WR but when it comes to the skills of receiving he is nearly as good as it gets. Regardless of WR or TE. He is the big bodied physical target that can run routes, get open, draw defenses coverage and still get his catches. He is what weve all craved for years in a WR. When we drooled over having a Calvin or Julio.
