Addressing the first half of the article...
I don't think it's ethically wrong from either side to have made this decision now. I don't know which side initiated. But either way, I don't see the argument that it was an injustice done upon the other side or any third parties. It's certainly atypical for a college basketball coach to be fired or to resign this early in a season. Football it happens, but basketball usually outside of disciplinary or health reasons, moves aren't usually made until the end of the year. But once you decide that it's no longer tenable to continue, I don't think playing out the string as a lame duck is inherently noble. And I certainly disagree that Turgeon owes any players or that the AD/University owes Turgeon or anybody else.

He took his ball and went home. Which yeah we all wanted him to go as fans but the players there deserved better. Loser mentality and its always been that way.
Great teacher of young men, that one. If someone on your team plays poorly, throw them under the bus in the media. And if you get booed, take the $5M and leave. The more I hear about the way he thinks, the less I like him. Good riddance.
