Would you trade Wieters for any single player in the game?

Tulowitzki, Verlander, Lincecum, Kershaw, Felix Hernandez and Hamels were those few. Thoughts?
EDIT: Set aside contract terms... it's simply a consideration of whether you'd trade MW straight up for any other single player in the game.

Some of the guys you have listed are a lot more expensive then Wieters and/or have less time left under team control. I would get 6 years of Trout at a really nice price.
Well I hear Linda Ronstadt is looking for a guitar player.

Trout, maybe Heyward if my experts think they can fix his swing.

I'm surprised you chose Trout, for as much as I love the kid, he is still a prospect and IMO doesn't play as impactful of a position as catcher. Regardless, set aside cost/contract terms... does that alter your thinking?

I have a deep respect for players talented enough to hit the major's at 19 years old.
Not factoring money or service time I probably would not trade him. Positional scarcity and all. I certainly would not trade him straight up for a pitcher as the injury risk is too great.

The first of many players to leap to mind that I would happily exchange Wieters for is Evan Longoria. I could probably name at least two dozen other players.

That's a duh question that requires me to think for exactly 0.000000000000000001 seconds before answering. Of course. Wieters is not the undisputed greatest player in the game considering both his on-field production and his contract situation.

This. If you take contracts out of the game, there are quite a few players that are better players than Wieters now. That isn't to say Wieters isn't a great player. He is. I'd say top 30 in the game if you consider position, but he is nowhere near #1.
Off the top of my head, players that I'd rather have than Wieters (excluding contract status):
- Kemp
- Ellsbury
- M Cabrera
- Pujols
- Cano
- Longoria
- Halladay
- Verlander
- Kershaw
- F Hernandez
- Possibly any of Hellickson, Moore, and Price on the Rays; I'd have to do a little research first
- I'd think hard about Mike Stanton

I put a lot of weight in what a top notch defensive catcher does to help a team and I think he has more left in his bat then someone like Longoria who while great, has appeared to plateau.
I think he can bump his offense up enough to be a 6 WAR type player next season.
Well I hear Linda Ronstadt is looking for a guitar player.

Wieters plays a prime position which is a point of difference from many players but I am not sure they he will ever have the impact of a Longoria.
