McCrary is being elevated as a COVID replacement for Seymour (so doesn't use one of his regulars). Sounds good to me, they clearly don't want to use Williams (I'm not commenting on whether that's right or not) so might as well get up someone else.

 

Also elevating DB Robert Jackson, who I've never heard of and didn't even know was on the PS (just signed this week). Has 16 career games and 74 defensive snaps since 2019 with the Browns. But 5 DBs were on the injury report so...

I was reading yesterday how impressed Harbaugh was with Calais Campbell and how he's in the weight room every day.  Even if he's doing split routines, when does he have time to completely rest his body?  He doesn't.  And people wonder why the frequency of injuries in the NFL is so obscene.  Training protocols need to be drastically changed in this sport if they truly care about the players safety and health.
