Houston might be advised to tack on a couple of runs here. Ryan Pressley threw a lot of pitches in last night's combined no-no, so a two or three-run cushion would help if he has to come in to close tonight.

If the Phillies can keep the Astros off the board here, they'll have 2-3-4 hitters up in the ninth down by just a run.

Helluva game. Great play by Chas McCormick on that drive from J.T. Realmuto. It wouldn't have gone out, but if he doesn't come up with it, it's at least a double and possibly a triple.

Eight teams in a best-of-seven World Series have rallied to win Games 6 and 7 on the road. 

 

I can think of four off the top of my head: the 1958 Yankees, the 1968 Tigers, the 1979 Pirates, and the 2016 Cubs. All of those rallied from 3 games to 1 deficits. Now I'm curious enough to look up the other four.

Astros' 1B Yuri Gurriel will miss the rest of the Series due to a knee injury suffered in Game 5.

 

Gurriel wasn't great during the season, but he was a solid postseason contributor. Since the Astros opted not to add another infielder to the roster, I guess that means Trey will get the nod at first base.

After Schwarber gets the Phillies on the board in game 6 with a 6th inning solo home run, Yordan Alvarez crushes a 3-run blast to give the Astro’s the lead in the bottom of the 6th. Houston now 9 outs away from a World Series title.
