Also the momentum thing, a team winning a best of 3, then going to play a rested/rusty team. Noticing that with the offenses especially, other than Yordan Alvarez.
That's one reason I'm against these three-game wild miniseries. It completely disrupts the teams that have to sit and wait until their conclusion to take the field again. It simply isn't the rhythm of the summer and the regular season to which players become accustomed.

Astros and Mariners are now in the top of the 15th with still no score. I wonder if there's such a thing as a 14-inning stretch.
Top of the 18th beginning in Seattle. Jose Altuve, who never had more than six at-bats in any one game, is now 0-for-8. That'll damage your postseason batting average.
Does the winner of this game (if there ever is one) get two wins?
The Astros have broken the scoreless tie in the 18th on a solo homer by Jeremy Pena.
If anyone on Seattle hits one in the bottom of the inning, he might be the first player in history to be booed in his home park for hitting a game-tying homer.

Oscar Gonzalez, who wasn't even on Cleveland's 40-man roster at the outset of the season, now has three game-winning hits thus far this postseason.

With a five-run seventh, the 89-win Padres ousted the 111-win Dodgers. An all-wildcard NLCS awaits.
Baseball can be very random over the short term.

Ugh, I just realized that 3 of the 4 teams left I don't want to win a WS.
