Heard about this yesterday, definitely sucks. We didn't have much of a shot against Kentucky anyway, but losing probably our best returning big is a problem. Hopefully Len, Cleare, and Mitchell are all ready to step up big time!

Shaq will most likely step into the lineup until his return. It hurts, but it is only three games and he can add his presence on the bench for leadership. The biggest thing he added was tough rebounding, and Shaq can make up for that with his size. I am not too worried about it, but it definitely sucks.

I guess it is good news based on playing UK in game 1 but getting Cleare and Mitchell extended PT in a prime game would have been a good thing IMO.
I would expect Len and Padgett start with Shaq and Mitchell seeing 15 or so minutes a game early on.

I think Layman is also supposed to see time at the 4, considering the bulk he's added since the summer. I think it will be especially true if Wells is eligible.

Good point. Layman is a big kid. He would be more of a pick and pop 4.
His ability to shoot from the outside should help free up the post man for more one on one matchups.
