I think in big games against really talented opponents (KC, LAC), it could be important to punch up the run game by putting the ball in Lamar's hands more. That's what made the difference running vs KC. But I'd be wary of leaning on it too heavily. I've never been one to worry about Lamar's health, but this is a completely different version of the run game with this team, and I think Lamar is taking more hits because defenses aren't respecting the backs whatsoever.

He's already putting the offense on his back every game, so I'm concerned that making him the focal point even more than he already is could be asking for trouble.

The Ravens are having tremendous success passing on early downs, so I'd like to see that continue, especially off play action. Getting into 3rd and longs because they run the ball twice for net two yards is when they seem to struggle early in games.

Justin Herbert is a nightmare matchup for this defense, even moreso than Mahomes IMO. He loves short and intermediate passes and ball control drives. They are going to do what they want. We can't waste drives like we did in the first half Monday night, trying to get the run game going.

They are completely being carried by Lamar so far. Could you imagine this team with 2016 Flacco under center.

2017 Flacco had some moves.

He lulls you to sleep with the short and intermediate passes, then hits Williams over the top for big plays.

Chargers run D is their weakness, but I have no faith that we can exploit it with our RB's. I'm not sure how long we can pretend Murray and Co. are what we can roll all season with. But it's just not possible. I don't know where the answer lies, but it's not with anyone on our current roster. Williams gives a little bit of hope with his big play ability. Outside of him, all we have are retirees trying to extend their careers for one more year.

We had our way with the KC defense.

Not sure how the Chargers can sell out to stop the run and challenge Lamar to beat them through the air when the did exactly that last week, but I'm sure they'll try.

I'd still like to see them try to move the ball on the ground early and often Sunday. Our offense is unstoppable when we can run the ball effectively (and limit TOs).

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Yeah, I just don't see it. It's a classic square peg/round hole game plan. Unless you know something about the recovery of Dobbins, Gus, Justice Hill etc. that we don't know.

This offense is good enough to do what it does best regardless of the defense it's playing. They always get into the most trouble when they try to be too cute and transform the offense from week to week based on the competition. This unit doesn't have to do that, and shouldn't.
