Opponents will have to start respecting Lamar's passing ability, especially now that he is (at least for this game) spreading it around more. That could reopen the running attack.

Nice to see Proche so involved, and looking forward to Bateman joining almost certainly the best group of receivers in Ravens history.

Said yesterday that Brown is easily the best WR weve drafted well if we arent cou ting TEs then Duvernay and Proche are tge best mid round WRs weve drafted. Both are solid. Btw is Wallace on our PS?

Brown better than Torrey Smith? Maybe, but I wouldn't say easily the best we've ever drafted.

Brown is a better route runner, and is faster than Torrey. I loved Torrey Smith. But I think Brown may be a better overall WR. If Brown can break the streak of dropsies he seems to go through every season, and consistently starts catching the ball, he could be a top 15 WR in football.

Even with the drops last week he is on pace for a 1300+ yrd season. Actually more with 17 gm schedule but screw that math.

If there is a season for him to have a big season, it's this one. With our retirement home of a backfield, mixed with Lamar throwing the ball at a high level. He may get a lot more looks. He may lose some looks when Bateman gets healthy. But he's Lamar's favorite target, and he consistently works himself wide open. We haven't had a WR like that since Steve Smiths first season here.

It's tough to make any assessment, as Hollywood is still very early in his career. With that said, he's already the 2nd best WR we've drafted and not far from surpassing Smith.

When all is said and done though, I think Bateman will surpass both of them.

It looks like Bateman and Boykin will be back Monday night with Boyle not far behind. With Lamar dropping dimes like he is this might be a big passing season with the talent we now have at receiver. With Lamar's bad back I'm all in on a transition to a passing team.

I'd much rather keep Boykin on the sideline and see what Proche can do again. I feel like for the first time in a long time, the Ravens could run a 4 wide set of WR's, and have legitimate targets in all 4. Brown, Watkins, Bateman and Proche/Duvernay/Boykin is a pretty legit spread set up.

I know a lot of people here really like Duvernay, but I honestly haven't been impressed. His decision making on special teams has been questionable and I think he is behind Proche as a WR. He's caught everything in his limited opportunities, and he seems to get open more than Duvernay. Since Proche can return punts and kicks too, I'm kind of wondering if Duvernay is on the hot seat once Bateman comes back.
