Maryland hits the road for the second time this season as they travel to Columbus, OH to face #7 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon. The Buckeyes currently hold a record of 4-1 (2-0), having strung together three straight dominant wins over Akron, Rutgers, and Tulsa. After sitting out their game against the Zips, C.J. Stroud returned at quarterback last week against the Scarlet Knights and threw for 330 yards and five touchdowns. They've been leaning on their running game recently, led by TreVeyon Henderson who's averaging over nine yards per carry.

Locksley announces that WR Dontay Demus, Jr. will have knee surgery this week and miss the remainder of the 2021 season. He'd been projected as a Top 10 receiver in next year's NFL Draft, so now we'll have to see whether he decides to come back to Maryland or not.

Locksley said that Jennings was able to practice some this week. While he isn't expected to play against Ohio State, this may put him on track for a return against Minnesota after the bye.

 

EDIT: Jennings will be a game-time decision this week, so there's a chance he plays after all.
