Can't disagree with any of your winners Mike. I think the Big Ten could be interesting this year. The West could be a three-horse race, and I'm really curious to see if Indiana can manage expectations and challenge Ohio State again. College football needs some new blood moving up in the major conferences. Iowa State is a good example of that, but the top layer in the national rankings has gotten very stagnant.

Totally agree. The problem is that NIL is just going to keep the big dogs on top.

Yep, that (and money, of course) are the motivators behind playoff expansion. But even with 12 teams I think most years you’ll still have the usual suspects in the end.

Add the Big Ten to the list of Power 5 conferences to announce that teams who cannot play a game due to a COVID outbreak will be penalized. While there are some subtle differences between the conferences' policies, what they all come down to is that any team that can't play will have to forfeit and take a loss in the standings. Fortunately, as best I can tell from what I've read, vaccination rates among teams across FBS are high, at least in the 80% range and many above 90%.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Yup. My dumb ass will probably curse this, but I don’t envision a ton of cancellations this year.
Also, Mike, way to go out on a limb with your conference champion picks. I think you took literally every favorite
I was wondering if someone would mention that. But honestly, that seems like the way college football is going, very few surprise teams at the very top anymore. That said, I think you’ll approve of who I’m picking to win it all.

Welp, we will either both be geniuses or look dumb.
I have Oklahoma winning it all too.
I know some will say my 4 Playoff choices are the same old, even though all 4 have never appeared in the same Playoff. Also, if I’m right it would be the first championship game without either Alabama or Clemson since the very first CFP in 2014-15.
