I was pretty much in the no chance group after that performance against the Raiders. I guess it makes a difference when Villanueva(sp) isn't at RT getting beat every play.
If you asked me objectively if the Ravens are a better team than the Chiefs, especially with the current injury situation, the answer is no. But I sure did not rule out a Ravens' win. To me one of the most fascinating aspects of sports is the intangible, and the better team does not always win. Even when you spot them a TD on your first offensive series. Intangibles (not to mention luck, karma, and the force being with you) include: home team advantage, ref calls, and how and which guys are totally focused and vibing at their very best, hungry and hyped.
Week 1 the Raiders were at home in their new stadium in prime time, and came out loose and swinging; the favored Ravens were swimming upstream. Last night was just the opposite, and the underdog Ravens played balls to the wall in their house. Special guys excel in big moments and make things happen. I credit Lamar Jackson for playing like superman, Harbaugh for riding him, and Odafe Oweh for that fumble that was an inspired work of art. Sometimes a team is far more than the sum of its parts.
