Just gotta hope for the best. I don't think the Caps have a playoff run in them anyway TBH, so at least he got another 50-goal season under his belt for the record chase. Sucks though. If the Caps are going to make a little run, they need him healthy. No way around that, although he's not a goaltender, so again, not sure it matters at the end of the day.

Yeah that script looked familiar in the first two periods.  Glad they broke through in the third.

They way they finished up the regular season really lowered my expectations for the playoffs.  I'm still not sure they win their first round match up but winning game 1 is a good start.  Florida wouldn't be the first firstplace and presidents trophy winning team to flame out in the first round of the playoffs.  Bobrovsky was lights out in the first period last night, good to see the Caps kept grinding and pulled out the W.

Stinks that they lost Wilson, hopefully it's not a long term injury.

Caps take a 2-1 lead in the series. Awesome net keeping from Samsonov today, he was excellent. Power play was great. The Mantha-MoJo line was rocking all day, led to multiple goals. Great game. Fun to watch.

What a crushing defeat. Give Florida credit for pulling their goalie a bit early putting pressure on the Caps defense. The Caps almost put the game away, missing the empty net by hitting the goal post. Can't come closer than that. Now, the series is tied and Florida has their mojo back. Truly a game of inches.
