Harvey shouldn't be making this start.

Sadly, Harvey should not be on the team.  He certainly seems done.

I believe they are slow playing some of the kids, so we are stuck with him.

I think Harvey is in trouble when Means comes off the IL.

100%, there's no long term benefit to sending down any of Akin/Kremer/Zimm at this point. I don't think Lopez is that important but he still has some chance at some sort of long term value maybe in the bullpen at least.

I think it comes down to putting together enough innings to get through the year.  The entire rotation without Means is killing what is a pretty mediocre BP, and Harvey is the #1 offender.  He is a DFA waiting to happen.

Smith, Bradish, and Baumann all have a good chance to make starts this summer. Said before that Harvey doesn't make it through the month and Im sticking to it.

The problem is no one at AAA is really forcing their way up, except maybe Bradish, and there's ~1450 innings to get through. Lowther, Wells, Mattson, even Eshelman all could probably be in Baltimore if they performed. Instead you could pick from guys like Spenser Watkins, Konner Wade, Mickey Jannis who are doing well. I thought everyone always complained Norfolk was a pitcher's park? Hopefully Smith has some success.

Well how about this- instead of bringing in a different pitcher for each inning of relief, is there any reason they can't throw a couple of innings?  Or God forbid, three?  If Hyde is so worried about burning out his bullpen, he seems pretty oblivious to the common sense solution. Then again, Hyde probably isn't making those decisions anyway.

It does not seem to happen anywhere, although I think it should.  With the Orioles other than Wells. Scott, and Fry, it is hard to see any of them having enough success to get to 3.

The rotation is terrible and the BP is very limited.

Blaming Hyde, is placing the blame too low IMO.

Which Harvey.  If you mean Matt, I think this may be his last shot.

You're probably right about Hyde.  Like most managers today, he doesn't have a whole lot of say in anything.  And no, nobody allows a reliever to go more than an inning.  So what?  Be different.  Start a whole new trend.  Get the sport going back in the right direction.

It looks like Hyde is going to rotate outfielders, which is fine with the exception of Mullins.

Also Wynns is getting more starts.  I guess Severino not being able to catch the ball is a problem. :-P

Maybe Severino can go to a tire shop to get the hubcap out of his glove.

Given our previous comments, figure Harvey is strong tonight lol.

Mancini grounds out, 2 down.

Hard smash to 1st.  Mancini bobbles, gets the out at 1st... runner advances to 2nd, missed chance at two.
