See how he finishes. No real concern if he starts next year in Aberdeen again. Where is his long term position. Corner OF? 3b?

How is Westburgs defense at SS?

I have seen Henderson a few times.  Probably 3B.

Its pretty solid. He has a good arm. Better chance he sticks there than Henderson at this point.

Feel like thats the other thing about going college in the draft. Defense is probably easier to project overall, but still when a guy is the SS on a team like LSU there is a good chance he's going to be able to stick somewhere on the dirt in the bigs

Ouch, Kremer has a 5.95 ERA in Norfolk. 0-12 across minors and majors.

You can't get worse than that.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Nope. Completely lost year.

Assume confidence is shot.

You'd hope he could look at Mullins, and spend the Winter thinking... how do I rebound? What changes do I have to make to my game? Mullins was completely lost in '19, and he's been unbelievable in '21.   Why can't I go from abysmal in '21, to usable in '22? What do I have to change (fastball command would be a start), to be usable?

Chris Tillman is another comp that provides some gimmer of hope for Kremer (and Akin).  He had a 5.50+ ERA over 180 MLB innings in 2009-2011.  5+ ERA in Norfolk in 2011 after being sent back down for most of the 2nd half of the season.

Got things straightened out and pitched really well in the majors from the 2nd half of 2012 thru 2016 before falling apart again.

Actually you can because he’s only given up 1 run over his last 7 innings to get his ERA down to that!

If he finishes the year strong throwing to Adley that'd seem pretty encouraging

Maybe the pitching cupboard is bare because it was all hitters on fire this week...

Bob, or anyone else here, does Stowers impact how you'd feel about a Santander trade?

Santander isnt a long term guy here. More than enough OF prospects to push him out of the picture. Just not in '22

No.

I'm higher on Santander than 2035... but I also have questions / doubts about him long-term.
I want to see him back for '22, and think there is a chance he can be part of the picture past '22.

But Stowers doesn't do anything in-terms of impacting my feelings about Santander.
