A well pitched game, has a way of making me feel better about this team.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Hard to believe but we are 4-6 against those Bostonians this year. Not too bad!
And 3-4 against NYY.
What stinks, is that after 40 games we will have played the Yankees and the Red Sox 20 times

At least we won’t see them much again until the last month or so of the season.

I think 20 out of the first 40 against the Red Sox and NYY is a way for MLB to screw with the Angelos team.

I don't think it matters when they are scheduled. You have to play them regardless. There's no exact science to it. No guarantee the O's will be hotter later in the year than earlier, or vice versa. So I don't get wrapped up in all that. Baseball is 162 games, if you check out because you're a few under. 500 due to a tough early schedule, probably not the right sport for you. (Not you the fans, I'm talking about the players)
I disagree with this. I do think it matters. Sure the season is 162 games but ....
Lets say Team A plays its first 40 games against the top 3 teams in the league. And as expected they go 10-30. Yes they now have a much weaker schedule the last 122 games but they are also in a huge hole. That has to be mentally tough.
And in fact for a young team you would suspect that they would be better later in the season as the players have adjusted to play at that level.

I think it matters in part, because I honestly believe MLB does stuff like this to poke the Orioles and the Angelos family. They get buried early, the fans tune out and it cost them money. It is payback for the Orioles, insisting MLB and the Nationals stick to the original deal.

I agree with this too. In fairness, this team is not focused on winning anything, so when we play who, matters a little less, but the scheduling is atrocious.
