What is this forum's stance on jinxes
A long time ago, I told my Aunt that every time I watched an Oriole game on TV (only Saturdays back then), they lost. She looked at me and said "That's pretty arrogant of you to believe the Orioles care if you're watching." She was right and it's changed the way I view these situations.

That said, I was in NC for work and we decided to catch a MiL game in town (I think it was AA) and got great seats right behind the plate. Hometown pitcher is throwing a Perfect Game into the 5th inning. Pretty quiet at the ballpark and I say (loudly), "hey, this guy has a perfect game!!". Everyone turns and scowls at me. Pitcher walks the next batter. "Hey, we still got the no-hitter"....everyone turns again. Base hit next pitch. "Hey we still got a shut-out!!"...again. Next pitch, base hit and the run scores.
I can't impact that stuff. We did make it to the car safe after the game, but we were paying attention.
