The Yankees are supposed to be the best team in the AL, the Orioles the 2nd or 3rd worst....
...and you split, without John Means on the mound.
Baseball is fun.

Really good win for the Orioles and a confidence booster for Scott.
A split against NY. I'll take it.

Dammit, got stuck on a work call the entire 10th. But yay!

Me too. I had to turn it off. with the Yankees with runners 1 st and 2nd. Came back to see the Orioles celebrating.

Mullins has turned in a terrific 25 games. He has really adjusted his offensive game.

Sac bunt attempt turns into a strikeout feels like something the Orioles would do so I'm amazed it happened to the Yankees

Trey being interviewed. Talking about how proud he is of Cedric, also admitted he was putting too much pressure on himself.
Then gave a lot of credit to Hyde and Long for helping him relax.
Trey is what a major leaguer should be. I think he gets on a roll. He is really a team guy.

11-14 (.440) through 25 games. 3-4 vs. NY.
On pace for 71 wins. I said in the prediction thread that this team might have a shot at 70. And its not like they have all been playing over their heads.

Why didn't they walk Mullins?

Good question, but I am glad they did not.

I said 63, and with the upcoming schedule, I am still comfortable with that number, but games like yesterday, give me hope.

I think the biggest surprise is that outside of Kremer and LeBlanc, the pitching has not been a dumpster fire. Some ugly ERAs due to SSS but I think there is room to grow with who we have and I don't expect Kremer to be this bad but I am quickly losing hope.

I think we need to become comfortable with the idea, that young players especially pitchers are likely to struggle, early on in their careers. I want to see Kremer and others get this year to settle in, and see if they are better at this time next year than now.
