Nowhere. Outside of Adley who else is there down on the farm that could contribute at all offensively? Guys like Martin and Jones don’t move the needle. It’s not like there’s anyone who’s a FA they can sign now. They are the total zero offensive team we knew they’d be in the spring that has nothing in the chamber either. So they just need to try to improve with what they have. Otherwise they’ll be the worst offensive team in baseball and lose 100 games.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I think Jones will be up shortly in place of Ruiz. However, like Sean says, they are going to have to get more out of Mountcastle, Mancini, and others who are presently on the roster.

Whatever is going on is impacting across the League as a whole.

In 2019 25 teams had a team OPS of .725 or better (Orioles were .725), so far this year, there's only 8 teams with an OPS over .725.

There are some ugly numbers for just about every team.

Orioles have a lower baseline than most so it's certainly impacting them (29th in OPS at .640) more than others, but it's everywhere.

They messed with the ball a little this year.

Could be the early season and cooler weather.

Everyone is working on the quality of their stuff and hitting a baseball is hard so when pitchers create an advantage it's a challenge for the hitters to respond.

Everyone continues to push defensive positioning.

The Orioles certainly don't have players that typically drive an offense....Mancini had a year off, Santander has fought an injury, Hays too, Mountcastle has had a little tough luck, they give up upside all over, so throw [whatever] on top of that and sure, the struggle is real.

Strange to think the Alternate Site has some kind of an answer.

I will say I have been impressed with the ABs guys are having on the team. I haven’t been watching every game but they do seem to work counts better than in the past. The McKenna AB yesterday where he saw like 13 pitches before the bases loaded walk made me realize this.

I don't think they are a total zero but I do think they're solidly below average offensively and will perform like it.  If they fall short of even those low expectations for whatever reason, then they'll be terrible.

But agree that the idea that there is anywhere for them to turn is wildly ignorant of reality.  They aren't adding anything.   Including Rutschman, no chance he gets a callup this season.
