Pretty weak performance again from the bats.

 

3-0.  Good guys phone it in.

There's going to be numerous days offensively like yesterday.  It's a weak hitting team and they'll be lucky to hit .240 when it's all said and done.  And as the weather heats up and the starting pitching struggles, the period between June-September will be downright ugly, so any chance of avoiding 100 losses will depend on how they do from now to the end of May.

I hope you are right but my concern is, that as the weather warms up, the ball will start flying again, and our pitching will get overwhelmed.

Exactly.  I definitely don't share Chris' optimism for a strong 2nd half.

I am skeptical, because I think they are controlling when they want to be competitive.  I think if they bring up some of the kids, we could see an uptick, but I think they are going to drag their feet.  I do not see them spending any money on real players to augment the kids until after 22.

I hope I am wrong and will be happy to admit it.
