For many reasons, this isn't a thing, and I get it. But I'm someone who really values having side projects/passions because of how huge it is to give your brain a break from it's main cause, and how leaning into something you're passionate about transitions work into fun. So if I were a pitcher, I'd probably carve out an hour a day to work on my hitting. Not for the expectation of a result in games, especially as an AL pitcher, but because it's ultimately part of the game and it would give me a nice break from the pitching obsession. 

 

I suppose we're maybe a year away from pitchers hitting being a complete thing of the past though. Although, I may PH Jacob deGrom late in every game he isn't starting, lol.

That is just dumb play by Galvis.  He should easily be able to out run Leon to third.  

Frankly, Franco needs to retreat and let Zimm make the play and he compounded things by lobbing the ball to 1st.
