Imagine how much of a debacle this would be if the Orioles were actually good and more people than just degenerates like us actually wanted to watch.

From MASN
Below are current providers who will be able to authenticate the MASN app starting today (April 1, 2021).
- Armstrong
- Bay Country Communications
- Lumos Networks
- DirecTV
I've literally never heard of the first three.

Me either, I had to look them up. Lumos looks like a good service provider, but they don't serve Baltimore city. Neither do Armstrong or Bay Co.
Good news! I saw a dog today.

Looks like they've added Atlantic Broadband... but I've never heard of them, either.

Looks like the app is available now (Apple, Android, and Roku only):
Won't matter for the vast majority until XFINITY and Verizon are on-board.

They're ever behind the curve on literally everything. I'm already pondering just buying an old Expos hat, and no longer following a specific team. Why should I dedicate any of my attention to this embarrassing joke of a franchise?

Worked perfectly last night, but today has been awful. Not stable at all, and when it is working, the video is really bad quality. Guess it'll probably be a while until they have it where it needs to be. But it's going to be a game changer for a lot of people.

It's only fair to expect hiccups. But I'm curious why you think it will be a game changer? I ask as a cord cutter, aside from borrowing someone's TV provider credentials, the franchise is still bent on keeping their fans separated from the team. From the perspective of someone who pays for TV service, I don't see much of a need for a streaming app, aside from vacationing or business travel. Am I missing something?

Well the TV login thing may finally be addressed in the next couple years hopefully. But it wasn't hard at all to use my parents DirecTV login and, even though I pay for MLB.TV, not have to use it and deal with all the VPN crap and watch the game on my phone too. It's just uber convenient. I'm not sure if it'll be a game changer for the org. But for some, it will. If they ultimately do this right and try to reach as many fans as possible, maybe even bypass TV and charge their own monthly fee, there's a lot of potential there. We'll see. I'm just glad they're doing this. Even if it is irritating that they seemingly just thought of it a couple months before the season started, and after firing most of the MASN staff, lol. What a crazy organization we root for.
That's a good explanation. If I was trying to circumvent the in-market blackout with a PN, yada yada, this would be a game changer. I have willing family members that will lend me their creds, once verizon and/or xfinity is up and running on the app. That will take me from unable to watch the games (without the VPN workaround), to able to watch whatever video/audio quality they provide through the app. It just seems seems silly to white knuckle this archaic "TV subscription" philosophy. But, that's who this team is. straight up dinosaurs.

They’re throwing money away by not just having a pay for streaming service
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Until it’s on Fire Tv or LG smart tv it’s VPN for me

The cheapest Roku is only $30, but, yeah, it would definitely be nice if it worked with the fire stick or smart TV's, since that's what I mostly have.

Yeah, that's a big component they'll need to address too. I haven't seen a "Cast to" button or any ability to cast within the app.

That's coming once the Davis contract is paid off.
