Some interesting names on that list, but I don't see the O's opening up their wallet's for anyone on that list.  I also don't see any of them choosing Baltimore over elsewhere.   I don't quite feel that we are "paying with confederate money" but if there are two similar offers between the Birds and a more competitive team than I don't think we get said player.

Agreed. Bad teams, especially a team like the Orioles, who have been very bad for a very long time (except for 3 years), have to overpay. But the Angelos group still thinks it's the late 1960's, that their team is a perennial WS contender, and any player should be honored to play in Baltimore, and at a discounted price.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

The O's will have to pay if they want these players because they will be coveted. I don't think they will have to pay an additional premium / Orioles tax.

You'd have to convince one of those players in your vision going forward.

Hopefully multiple guys here will make it to FA, and the Orioles will have the option of pursuing.

They will certainly have the financial ability / limited payroll going forward to pursue if they choose.

For the record, it was 5 good years, when they had the best record in the AL.

If you are going to slam them, as its well within your rights as a fan of the team.

You have to give credit where credit is due, too.
