I highlight three of the top edge rushers in the 2021 draft class. Kwity Paye, Gregory Rousseau, and Jaelan Phillips. Guys that will likely not fall to #27 for the Ravens, but could be in the trade up zone. Also a lot of moving and shaking to big boards before the draft actually gets here, things can change. 

 

I'll look to highlight three more edge rushers in different articles as different guys get mocked to the Ravens, or enter the late first round conversation that may not be there now. 

 

I view edge rusher as the biggest need since Jaylon Ferguson, as of now, is the only one under contract for 2021.

Great work.

The lack of high end talent but overall depth of the edge rush spot could bode well for us. Being in the back end of the 1st round usually means we miss out on the highly touted guys but given that there's solid quantity at the position, we should be able to nab a good prospect at some point.

2nd installment looking at edge rushers potentially in the first round the Ravens could target at #27. This time up I look at Azeez Ojulari, Jayson Oweh, and Ronnie Perkins.

One more look at potential edge rushers. This crop is listed as late first rounders in a couple mocks, or not listed in most placing them likely in the top 75 players or so in the draft. Here I'm looking at Carlos Basham (Wake Forest), Joe Tryon (Washington) and Zaven Collins (Tulsa) who wasn't an every down edge rusher, but has the prototypical size for one, and played multiple roles on Tulsa defense. ILB, OLB, Edge...and filled his trophy case with the top defensive awards in college.
