I am most certainly an Apple fanboy, but not for the wearables.  I have been using a Garmin Fenix as my daily wearer for 3 years now.  First, with the Fenix 5 and now I wear the Fenix 6x.

It supplies a ton of data.  If you're a runner, the metrics it measures (especially coupled with a Garmin HR monitor or the running pod) is pretty amazing.  It also keeps track of a ton of other stuff that has turned out to be helpful.  For instance, I could tell I had Covid, even before a positive test, by my "body battery" being low for consecutive days despite sleeping normal duration.

Battery life = weeks.

Anyway, it's amazing and I'll never wear another brand's fitness/smartwatch ever again.  They're expensive, but worth it to me.  Here's a review:

The body battery thing is fascinating. Could be a big breakthrough if used widely.

Thanks for the recommendation. I haven't at all been pleased with my Galaxy watch. It's crap.

What's the battery life like for you?

Just got my Fenix 6X Pro the other day, absolutely in love with it. Apple or Samsung can't even come close to the quality. And the battery life just blows my mind. A couple little quirky little things I wish were different with the app. Particularly the move IQ function which automatically detects workouts could provide a lot more data - you shouldn't have to manually track (which includes GPS and is the one thing that does drain the battery). Also, having to set your normal sleep time (because it's so volatile for me). They should be able to pick that up automatically. But the Body Battery is amazing and super insightful, as is a lot of the other metrics and widgets that are available. Thanks for the recommendation. It was a birthday present from my lady and her family and mine. Love it.

Yes!  Awesome.  The sleep thing is a little disappointing right now but they've promised fixes and hired people who know what they're doing in that area.  I know it's a priority for them (Garmin, I mean).  Make sure you're adding your home wifi so it can do automatic firmware updates. I'm glad you like it.  And the longer you wear it, the more it gets to know you.

Sounds like a great watch. Im content with my Fitbit Versa 2 for now. It talks to Alexa and my phone, keeps simple stuff like heart beat and sleep things. Im not a runner, either.

Battery is not that great, I need to charge about every 5th day, but it charges very fast.

And its not an apple product. LOL
