BSL: https://baltimorespo...itions-of-need/

Edge rushers, wide receivers, offensive line.

Some of the top names that could hit the market, and upgrade the Ravens who should be going all in for the 2021 season.

Nicely done.

The Ravens have generally avoided the UFA market, as the organization loves to game the comp pick formula. However, considering we will have some sought after players likely hitting the market (those guys would get multi year deals) and we should pick up some draft capital when we move Brown, this off season may see the Ravens chase an unrestricted free agent or 2.

Feel like the Earl Thomas deal was a splash signing as far as the Ravens go. Mark Ingram the same offseason, not under the radar by any means like some other moves they make. IIRC, the Thomas signing didn't cost them a comp pick but I could be wrong.

I know they love those picks, but at some point you gotta stop hoarding them and bring in some guys you can plug and play. Especially when you're knocking on the door of something special.

The Ravens are good for a splash every once in a while and this off season may be one of those times. Timing is going to be everything, IMO. Will EDC look to get Lamar done before anything else?

Interesting. One could argue if they sign one of the top end FA receivers, then LJ gets back to MVP type form, addressing the extension in 2022 would be astronomical. Maybe not Mahomes high, but easily 2nd highest, and much higher than what an extension today would look like.

Maybe the road is to extend him first, keep the cap number low, and the overall amount lower than what it could be by waiting and seeing what he does next.
