That makes the most sense as of today but Im also not anywhere close to convinced they will be playing Mullins every day.
My take there would be they are comfortable with Santander in RF, and want to evaluate / or give more time to Mountcastle in LF here in the Spring. If the Orioles are going to have Hays and Mullins both in the everyday lineup, I'll be pretty damn surprised to see Mountcastle getting more OF time than Santander.

How has Mullins done against LHP this spring?
I saw he had a home run against a lefty late last week.

It looks like DJ Stewart is starting the year on the DL which opens up the DH spot, and I would assume Mullins starts come mostly against RH pitching so they should be able to get Mountcastle a decent amount of outfield time, first base time and DH.

I expect a decent amount of rotating from all the guys. I do expect Santander to DH as part of that rotation. Mostly in an effort to make sure Mountcastle continues to get LF reps

Plus it keeps guys fresh and healthy, hopefully. Hopefully doing that, allows the whole group to develop as much as possible.

Not a good day for Means today.
3.2 IP 4 H 3 ER 3 BB 4K...I think they were hoping to get him to 5IP
2 more errors today for the Orioles.
Issac Matson also beat up.
Galvis and Hays good games with the bat. Both 2 for 3.
Hays is having a great spring.
The Orioles lose again.....I have a feeling that we are going to be saying that a good bit this year.

Garceau and Dave Johnson on the call today.
I thought Johnson was shown the door.

Rays hit Valdez hard in the first, but great catch by Santander and double play by Galvis holds them to only 1.

The Orioles in the win column today 4-3.
Valdez, Coonor Greene and Travis Lakins pitched well.
Franco, and Mancini went deep.
Rutschman had a double

I was this close to asking "Whos Franco"?
My son asked when did we sign Julio? He can probably still hit.

The Orioles travel to the Red Sox this evening and the lineup shows it.
Yolmer Sánchez 2B
Chance Sisco C
Ryan Mountcastle LF
Rio Ruiz 3B
Pat Valaika 1B
Ramón Urías DH
Yusniel Diaz RF
Stevie Wilkerson CF
Richie Martin SS
Dean Kremer RHP
FWIW...I hope the idea of Sanchez in the leadoff spot is nothing more than a spring training thing.

Dean Kremer with a pretty decent outing
4.2 6 H, 2 ER, 0 BB and 4 K
The Orioles are getting shut out with 4 hits in 7 innings. Eovaldi had his way with the makeshift lineup.

Lowther 3 perfect innings including escaping an inherited bases loaded no one out situation.

Mountcastle missed tonight's game with what Hyde called a "Non Physical Injury", and he hopes he's back tomorrow.
Hope everything is ok.
I’m getting a food poisoning vibe.

I’m getting a food poisoning vibe.
I'll take it!
i was thinking either a panic attack or side effects from the vaccine? Hopefully he's back in the lineup tomorrow, and all will be well.
